Milena Simovic è nata a Belgrado, Serbia.
Ha suonato in importanti rassegne musicali in Austria, Svezia, Italia, Stati Uniti, Brasile, Israele e Gran Bretagna, dove è stata elogiata come “talento unico con una meravigliosa musicalità”.
Si è esibita in diversi luoghi importanti a Belgrado e in tutta la Serbia e Montenegro. Partecipa regolarmente nei festival più importanti a Belgrado, Serbia, come “BEMUS” , “NOMUS”, “Belef”, così come “Kotor Art” e “Budva Città-Teatro” in Montenegro, “Campos do Jordao” nello stato di Sao Paulo e festa di Ouro Preto in Brasile, Fondazione Musicale “Santa Cecilia” di Portogruaro in Italia, e Musikdorf Ernen in Svizzera, dove ha anche eseguito concerti con orchestre da camera del festival.
Milena ha preso parte a numerosi corsi di perfezionamento in tutto il mondo, lavorando con Sergey Kravchenko, Grigory Zhislin, Pavel Vernikov, David Takeno. Lei è una ex-alunna del “Keshet Eilon”, dove ha lavorato con musicisti di fama mondiale come Shlomo Mintz, Vadim Gluzman, Ani Schnarch, Haim Taub, Ida Haendel e Hagai Shaham, partecipando ai concerti finali in Opera House di Tel Aviv. Nel giugno 2009 Milena ha completato il Bachelor e Master presso l’Università di Belgrado, Facoltà di Musica e delle Arti, con il professor Maja Jokanovic, con il quale continua a studiare come studentessa di dottorato.
Nel 2011 Milena ha perseguito Master of Music Degree alla Guildhall School of Music and Drama con lode, studiando con il professore Krzysztof Smietana. Alla Guildhall Milena ha suonato con il Belcea Quartet e ha collaborato con direttori di fama mondiale come Sir Colin Davis, Gustavo Dudamel e James Gaffigan.
Milena ha registrato diversi programmi musicali per la radio e la TV in Serbia e Brasile. Milena è infinitamente riconoscente per il generoso sostegno alla Albert Cooper Music Charitable Trust, Leverhulme Trust and Leathersellers’ Company che le hanno permesso di completare la sua formazione con la masterclass a Londra. Ha ricevuto anche una borsa di studio dal Rotary Club “Skadarlija” di Belgrado e Young Talent Award proposta dal governo della Serbia.
Milena attualmente suona un prezioso violino “Giovanni Battista Ruggeri” del 1647.

Milena Simovic was born in Belgrade, Serbia. She achieved several significant appearances in Austria, Sweden, Italy, USA, Brazil, Israel and Great Britain where she was praised as “unique talent with wonderful musicality”. She has performed in many important venues in Belgrade and throughout Serbia and Montenegro. She is regular participant in the most important festivals in Serbia, such as “BEMUS” , “NOMUS”, “BELEF” as well as “Kotor Art” and “Budva City-Theatre” in Montenegro, “Campos do Jordao” in the state of Sao Paulo and festival of Ouro Preto in Brazil, Fondazione musicale “Santa Cecilia” in Portogruaro, Italy, The Culture Festival in Sardenia, and Musikdorf Ernen in Switzerland where she also performed with festival chamber orchestras.
Milena has taken part in many master classes around the world, working with Sergey Kravchenko, Grigory Zhislin, Pavel Vernikov, David Takeno. She is a “Keshet Eilon” alumna, where she was working with renowned musicians such as Shlomo Mintz, Vadim Gluzman, Ani Schnarch, Haim Taub, Ida Haendel and Hagai Shaham, performing at the final concerts in Opera House in Tel Aviv.
Milena completed Bachelor and Master Degree at Belgrade University- Faculty of Music and Arts, under Professor Maja Jokanovic, with whom she continue studying as a Phd student.
Furthermore Milena pursued Master of Music Degree at Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Distinction where she was a student of Professor Krzysztof Smietana.
At the Guildhall Milena received coaching from Belcea Quartet and has collaborated with renowned conductors such as Sir Colin Davis, Gustavo Dudamel and James Gaffigan. Milena recorded several music programs for radio and TV in Serbia, Italy and Brazil.
Milena is recipient of Albert Cooper Music Charitable Trust, Leverhulme Trust and Leathersellers’ Company, who have generously supported her throughout her master studies in London scholarship by Rotary Club in Belgrade and Young Talent Award given by the Government of Serbia.
Milena is currently playing on a Jean-Baptiste Roggerius violin from 1647.
