RINAT IBRAGIMOV

 

Rinat Ibragimov ha studiato all’Ippolitov-Ivanov College con Georgy Favorsky e al Conservatorio Tchaikovsky di Mosca con Eugeny Kolosov.

Ha vinto il primo premio alla “Soviet Union Double Bass Competition” (1984) e al “Giovanni Bottesini International Competition” di Parma (1989).

Dal 1983-1997 è stato primo Contrabbasso del Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra, della ”Academy of Ancient Music” dei “Moscow Soloist” e dei “Soloist of the Moscow Philarmonic”.

Dal 1991 al 1997 ha insegnato Contrabbasso al Moscow Conservatoire, Moscow Conservatory Music College, Central Specialist Music School.

Tra le sue incisioni discografiche si citano un CD con musiche di Giovanni Bottesini e un CD che comprende musiche di compositori russi, registrato con i “Soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre”. Ha studiato direzione d’orchestra con Dmitri Kitaenko e Igor Dronov al Conservatorio Tchaikovsky di mosca e dal 1995 al 1998 Rinat è stato direttore artistico principale della “Moscow Instrumental Capella”.

Dal 1998 Rinat is Principal Emeritus Contrabbasso della London Symphony Orchestra e dal 1999 insegna alla Guildhall School of Music and Drama di Londra.

 

He studied at the Ippolitov-Ivanov College with Georgy Favorsky and at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatoire with Professor Eugeny Kolosov.

He won the first prizes in the All Soviet Union Double Bass Competition (1984) and in the Giovanni Bottesini International competition in Parma, Italy (1989).

From 1983-1997 he was working as the principal double bass of the Bolshoi Theatre orchestra, the “Academy of Ancient Music”, “Moscow Soloists” and the “The Soloists of the Moscow Philharmonic.”
Between 1991-1997 he was teaching the double bass at the Moscow Conservatoire, Moscow Conservatory Music College, Central Specialist Music School.

His recordings include a CD featuring the music for double bass by Giovanni Bottesini (released in Paris in 1995), a CD with works by Russian composers recorded with “The Soloists of the Bolshoi Theatre” (released in Moscow in 1991). 

Having received his training as a conductor with Dmitri Kitaenko and Igor Dronov at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatoire, Rinat was invited to become the conductor and artistic director of the “Moscow Instrumental Capella”, the post he held between 1995-1998. He still regularly collaborates with them both as conductor and soloist.

Since 1998 Rinat is Principal Emeritus Double Bass of the London Symphony Orchestra and in 1999 he became professor for Double Bass at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
