ROMAN SIMOVIC

Il brillante virtuosismo di Roman Simovic e musicalità innata, alimentato da una immaginazione senza limiti, lo ha portato ad esibirsi in tutti i teatri del mondo, tra cui il Bolshoi di Mosca, Sala del Conservatorio Tchaikovsky, sala Mariinsky di San Pietroburgo, Grand Opera House di Tel -Aviv, Victoria Hall di Ginevra, Rudolfinum Hall di Praga, Barbican Hall di Londra, Art Centre di Seoul, Sala Grieg a Bergen, Rachmaninov Hall di Mosca.
Roman Simovic è stato premiato in numerosi concorsi internazionali tra i quali: “Premio Rodolfo Lipizer” (Italia), Sion-Valais (Svizzera), Yampolsky Violin Competition (Russia) e il Wieniawski Violin Competition Henryk (Polonia), ponendolo tra i violinisti più importanti della sua generazione.
Come solista, Simovic, ha suonato con le migliori orchestre del mondo: Orchestra Sinfonica di Londra, Orchestra Sinfonica del Teatro Mariinsky, Nuova Symphony Scozia (Canada), Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra (Ungheria), Camerata Bern (Svizzera), Camerata Salzburg (Austria), CRR Camera Orchestra (Turchia), Poznan Philharmonia, Filarmonica di Praga, Brabante Settentrionale (Olanda), con i direttori d’orchestra: Valery Gergiev, Antonio Pappano, Daniel Harding, Kristian Järvi e Jiri Belohlavek.
Roman Simovic, collabora in vari festival illustri come il Festival di Dubrovnik estate in Croazia, “Kotor Art” il Montenegro, la Bemus e Nomus Festival in Serbia, “Sion Valais” Svizzera, Bergen Festival in Norvegia, “Mosca Inverno” Festival in Russia, Portogruaro Festival in Italia, “Festival di musica Granada” in Spagna, collaborando con artisti rinomati come Schlomo Mintz, Francois Leleux, Itamar Golan, Simon Trpceski, Janine Jansen e Julian Rachlin.
Oltre ad essere un solista attivo, Roman Simovic è un musicista da camera ed è un membro fondatore del Quartetto Rubikon String. Come docente, ha insegnato alle masterclass negli Stati Uniti, Regno Unito, Corea del Sud, Serbia, Montenegro, Israele e Sardegna. Roman Simovic suona un “JB Guadagnini” violino del 1752 e che gli è stato generosamente donato in prestito da Jonathan Stampi, Presidente della Bank of America. Nelle Stagioni 2013/2014 Roman Simovic ha registrato un cd dirigendo l’orchestra d’archi della London Symphony Orchestra, per l’etichetta LSO Live, e i concerti di Tchaikovsky e Glazunov con Gergiev e Mariinsky Orchestra, per l’etichetta Mariinsky.

As soloist, Simovic has appeared with the world leading orchestras: London Symphony orchestra, Mariinsky Theatre Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Nova Scotia (Canada), Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra (Hungary), Camerata Bern (Switzerland), Camerata Salzburg (Austria), CRR Chamber Orchestra (Turkey), Poznan Philharmonia, Prague Philharmonia, North Brabant (Holland), with such a conductors like: Valery Gergiev, Antonio Pappano, Daniel Harding, Kristian Jarvi and Jiri Belohlavek.
A sought-after artist, Roman Simovic has been invited and continues to perform at various distinguished festivals such as the Dubrovnik Summer Festival in Croatia, “Kotor Art” Montenegro, the BEMUS and NOMUS Festivals in Serbia, “Sion Valais” Switzerland, Norway’s Bergen Festival, “Moscow Winter” Festival in Russia, Portogruaro Festival in Italy, “Granada music festival” in Spain, collaborating with such renowned artists as Schlomo Mintz, Francois Leleux, Itamar Golan, Simon Trpceski, Janine Jansen and Julian Rachlin.
Aside from being an active soloist, Roman Simovic is an avid chamber musician, and is a founding member of the distinguished Rubikon String Quartet. As an educator, he has presenter master-classes in the US, UK, South Korea, Serbia, Montenegro, Israel and Sardinia. Roman Simovic plays a 1752 “J. B. Guadagnini” violin which was generously given to him on loan from Jonathan Moulds, Bank of America’s president.In the 13/14 seasonRoman Simovis is recording cd directing LSO string orchestra for the LSO label and Tchaikovsky and Glazunov concertos with Gergiev and Mariinsky orchestra for Mariinsky label.
Mr Simovic is serving as a leader of the great London Symphony Orchestra.
